It is the dream of everyone, or not for many, to study abroad, earn a degree, and work in that country in order for them to earn more and have a better life. I too, did not differ.
I sacrificed my life and the opportunities I had in the Philippines just to come here in Australia, to finish my studies, and most especially to land a job here. I arrived in a foreign land full of hope that my life would turn 360 degrees, but unfortunately the pandemic caused by COVID-19 made a great impact to my life here in Australia.
I thrived to find a job to finance my studies + everyday expenses, and was lucky enough to land a job as a barista. With the restrictions raised to fight the spread of corona virus, the cafe where I was working hit its rock bottom. Because of this, I do not have enough resources to pay for my school fees now that Semester 2 is fast approaching. Although I got back on my feet recently, I do not have the time to catch up with the required payment.
I am knocking on your kind hearts to assist me in reaching my dreams. I have sacrificed a lot just to get where I am now. I am working day and night to save up but given the timeline, I humbly ask for additional help.
Any amount would make a great impact and would help me along the way. I am writing you my story, but this is as well on behalf of my partner, and my close friend, who lost our jobs due to COVID-19, and need help from people like you.
