Student Travel Grants and financial support for the IGSC 2020
From the 5th to the 10th of July the biggest Student Conference in Europe will happen in Aachen, Germany. This is a perfect opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge to be prepared for their futures, which means they will be ready for easing society's problems and potentially saving lives while working on greener and more sustainable approaches. it is now more than ever necessary for us geoscientists to step up, initiate change, and lead the way.
Unfortunately, several students lack the financial means to travel and participate. We have, therefore, opened this channel to give a hand to all. That is why, with your contribution, you will aid in their application and participation while feeling proud of being part of their education and build-up. In this manner, you can contribute proactively for a better future that we all look for while creating more consciousness towards a more sustainable future.
What are we raising money for:
- To provide subsidized accommodation for every participating student
- To provide a free 1-week public transportation ticket for every participating student
- To provide travel reimbursement up to a certain amount for every participating student
- To provide travel grants to the EAGE and SEG Annual Meetings
- To provide food during the conference days and during field trips for every participating student
The IGSC 2020 will be organised by us students of the Faculty for Georessources and Material Engineering at RWTH Aachen University under non-profit association (Aachener Erd- und Naturwissenschaftler e.V., short AachEN).
