Intel& WWT Supplies for Puerto Rico

If you've been following our story ( https://intelwwtpuertorico.tumblr.com), you already know that Intel & WWT joined forces  back in November 2017 to help enable technology for schools in Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria.  During Phase I, the team of 12 assessed 161 schools, donated over $4000 worth of school and aid supplies and even helped with some roofing repair.  

The WWT & Intel team have been busy prepping for their return!  Phase II is almost here!  

During the first week of December 2018, we will be doing deployment of student computer labs in chosen schools in Mayaguez, and around the island, approximately 26 computers per school.  We have secured a donation of 2000 Intel NUC computers, all to be deployed as computer labs, teacher PCs, supporting infrastructure, technology training to fit curriculum goals, a mechanism to make it all self-sustaining, and a model technology school district for the rest of Puerto Rico.  We have also coordinated a STEM Education Hackathon on Nov 30-Dec 2, to come up with creative ways to use the technology in the schools and support ongoing STEM education for students (www.gothacked.org)
