for children in the remote Himalaya :
www.inspirationsinpractice.org
Chance had led us to Raya , a village in the remote north-western Himalayas of Nepal. We met there a community of hard working, intelligent people, who were aware of their needs and keen to grow. For them, change was something they could only see in the distance, away from their remote village where they have lived for generations. The grinding shackles of poverty is their persisting reality, while the unity of the community is their strength. Change was an unreachable dream.
This is where we link in. We work together to prioritize and set up projects to pave the path to change. We share information, sponsor these projects and guide their management, but implementation is in the community's hands. Since we started -our partnership has already reached beyond anything we could imagine.
THE CRITICAL PROBLEMS TODAY :
Hunger is an imminent threat: malnutrition haunts with blown bellies and pale hair.
Education is basic, with few teachers, inadequate facilities, and many eager kids.
Health care exists only in the distant hospital across the river and up the mountains.
WE WORK TO :
Advance Education by working closely with the children, their parents and teachers.
Increase food securityby setting up a sustainable bee-farm, to produce honey from the unique local nectar
Support medical careby running health camps to relieve immediate pain
Make the critical difference : empower and strengthen the community by enabling them to be more productive and reduce deprivation to ennsure the next generations grows into a future that they can choose.
WE HAVE ALREADY MADE A DIFFERENCE :
we built a kindergarten and repaired an existing, built a playground and developed the local library. We added teachers, arranged teachers' training workshops and extra-curricular activities, and provided teaching aids, equipment and stationery.
..…this is only the beginning.....

F A Q :
WHO ARE WE ?
We are a young non-governmental no-profit organization 'INSPIRATIONS in practice'. We are registered in Israel (reg.no.580616605) and work for remote villages in Humla district in north-western Nepal. Members of our acting teams come from different places, working together across space to ensure the success of our projects:
Implementation committees consists of elected village members under the leadership of the elected project leader.
Executive Committee consists of experienced professionals in Kathmandu- Ms.Rajni Shrestha, country coordinator, Prof.Paras Mani Shrestha, medical coordinator, and Pema Ramla, General secretary.
Acting president, Dr. Ada Gansach, has been involved in Nepal for many years as a scholar, architect, and a friend. Inspired by her partner, Yoram, Ada founded the NGO in 2014 and has been its advocate outside Nepal since then.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?
Villages of the Himalaya are the home of all members of the Implementation Teams, they live there, work there, and manage the projects.
Kathmandu is the home of the members of the Executive Team. They are professionals in their fields, who volunteer their time for the activities of the NGO; they know the people in the villages where they visit often.
England, Israel and Nepal are the places where Ada, the founder and president, divides her time.
WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PEOPLE YOU SUPPORT ?
Equal responsibility and complementary partnership guide our activities: we work together to identify needs, set parameters to new projects, devise optional proposals, and monitor their developments. Then duties are divided: the teams in the villages manage implementation, while the executive team in Kathmandu provides all that is necessary to ensure the project is successful and promotes the mission and fundraise.
HOW DO YOU INTEND TO SPEND THE FUNDS YOU WILL RAISE ?
EDUCATION……………………….............…50% of the budget ……..….……38,000 U$
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT…….....30% of the budget………………. 22,000 U$
HEALTH CARE……………………........……20% of the budget……...………...15,000 U$
Detailed information is listed above.
Our most precious resource is your support and therefore, we treat your donations with utmost care:
>> every rupee reaches the villages to serve the implementation of the projects.
>> All management and coordination is done by volunteers
HOW DO YOU INTEND TO GET THE FUNDS TO THOSE IN NEED ?
We will continue as we have done to date : funds we raise around the world are assembled into our central account in Israel, and transferred to Nepal. Regular payments (namely - salaries to teachers) are made by bank transfer to the account of the Implementation Team every month and then distributed as agreed. Other payments are paid out by our treasurer in Kathmandu in stages until the work or appointments are complete (for example : professional consultants, building workers, various expenses or payments for services). Our accounts are annually audited and submitted to the Registry of the Ministry of Legal Affairs.
