Mery and Graham need our help fighting cancer!

Hola, soy Carolina y represento a la familia de Mery y Graham en Colombia, quienes tienen cáncer de pulmón etapa IV, Graham diagnosticado en Diciembre 2021 y Mery En Mayo 2022. El cáncer etapa IV es la mas avanzada,es decir que el cáncer se ha esparcido por otras partes del cuerpo. Parte del actual tratamiento, que incluye quimioterapia, necesitan también inmunoterapia para así poder estimular su propio sistema nervioso en la lucha del cáncer. Desafortunadamente sus inmunoterapias, no son cubiertas por el sistema de salud en Auckland, Nueva Zelanda. Tanto Mery como Graham están en proceso de quimioterapia que está cubierto por el sistema de salud, sin embargo, es necesario ayudar para que así Mery y Graham inicien sus terapias del sistema inmune y podamos aportar a mejorar su calidad de vida en estos momentos, desde dónde sea que estemos, aportar y dar nuestro granito de arena para la familia Brook-Smith Carreño. Estos fondos recogidos serán usados en el pago de su tratamiento médico así como sustento de gastos extra necesarios durante el mismo y los fondos recogidos serán transferidos a una cuenta en NZ que se encargará de hacerla llegar directamente a Mery y Graham.

Within five months of each other our dear loved ones, Mery and Graham Brook-Smith Carreño were both diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer - Graham in December 2021 and Mery in May 2022. Stage IV is the most advanced stage of lung cancer. It means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.  As part of their ongoing treatment which includes chemotherapy they also need immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is a common treatment used to help people who have cancer that has spread throughout their body by helping their own immune system fight the cancer. Unfortunately under the New Zealand healthcare system, the cost of immunotherapy is not covered. As they have been paying for targeted therapy for Graham since his diagnosis in December the cost of immunotherapy is beyond reach. Whatever you give here will go directly to their medical expenses to prolong their precious lives for their darling boys aged 9 and 11. Please give whatever you can to show your love and support for this beautiful family and remember to pray for them all in this horrendous time of need.
