Inman Family Fundraiser

God is so great and he has blessed our family tremendously the past year. I'm so happy to say that Annie is home tonight resting, after her fifth( and hopefully last) surgery over this past year.

Annie's story begins about two years ago, when she started suffering from severe bouts of diverticulitis. After many doctor and ER visits, the surgeon thought it would be best to remove the part of her colon that was continually becoming infected. That surgery took place this time last year. All was well, or so we thought. After a couple months she began to suffer severe diverticulitis attacks again. In October, the doctors took her in, for what they thought, was going to be an emergency surgery to remove more of her colon. When they opened her up, they found her colon and stomach had both ruptured. Her whole inside was filled with contents from her stomach and colon and Annie was very septic. Due to her critical condition, the doctors were forced to stop the surgery, leaving her stomach wide open. Our family will remember that night vividly for the rest of our lives. The doctor said the words no family wants to hear "there is a good chance she will not make it through the night". God was with her that night and hasn't left her side since. Annie was hospitalized for almost two months, facing one obstacle after another. Her recovery had been very slow, even after being home three months, she was still struggling to perform the simplist of activities. Unfortunately, her body was struggling to fight off, yet another infection, and Annie was taken in for her fifth surgery last week.

Through the past year, both Steve and Annie were forced to take months off from work and eventually Annie's job could no longer be held for her. Their savings have been depleted and with a new year and new deductibles, medical bills are already coming in.

Ironically, Steve has been instrumental in fundraising for several different organizations. The Junior High and Grade School, Student Council, First Day Fund, Autism Awareness and Medical Benefits for several people in our community. So now it is our turn to shower Steve and Annie with the same love and support they have always shown others.

Thank you for taking the time to read this campaign. May God bless you all!
