Injured veteran needs your help

Having served in the Royal Marines for 20 years I was to be involved in the first Gulf War. The MOD was caught sleeping because, they had not developed vaccines for chemical warfare and so, they put together vaccines from untried drugs some unlicensed or experimental to protect their armed forces.  An example of an experimental vaccine was,  anthrax mixed with aluminium or mercury and a child vaccine for hooping caugh  unlicensed in the UK, as an accelerant because, there was insufficient time between deployment and the vaccine being affective. The MOD laboratory putting together the vaccines, were vaccinating rodents at the same time as vaccinating troops. The laboratory noticed  some rodents were having side effects & faxed Whitehall in Nov-1990 but apparently, the fax was misplaced, never signed in by anybody knew who it was passed on to, but it had been received. In Feb-1991 the MOD laboratory raised the issue again with Whitehall and in March 1991, anthrax was removed from the vaccine  list of these deploying to the Gulf. 3% of those vaccinated had a reaction to the combination of six vaccines administered together, which is against NHS recommendations. I am one of the 3% and unfortunately over time, it has morphed into MND / ALS in my case PLS (MND) & has disabled me slowly, taken away my ability to speak, socialise, carry out chores & support my wife. I was already carrying injuries from other campaigns or wars (Falklands) both physical & mental (PTSD). PLS is a nasty disease that strips away every aspect of ones life and dignity. I’m not a textbook PLS and have some similarities with MS & Parkinson's, the white patches in my brain are similar to PLS & MS but it is definitely biased towards motor functions. I approached the MOD  for a pension and compensation but they said no. I then went through 5 years of tribunals, before being categorised as 100% disabled and awarded the equivalent pension. My advocate and judge, Sir Crispin Agnew and in his summation said, the MOD should be contacted for compensation, he went on to say he was disappointed at how the MOD conducted their defence and felt some underhand action in that, the only medical records misplaced in a 24 year Royal Marine career, were just before until just after the first Gulf War, the period in question. That was 2012 and still the MOD refuse point blank to pay me compensation. There response was, take us to court and should you be award any money in compensation, you will forgo your disability pension. The MOD are a nasty, spiteful organisation that, do not represent veterans, let alone those injured. I have a chance to follow the hordes of people with MS in the main, travelling to Mexico at the Clinica Ruiz in Puebla in Mexico, for treatment, using autologous haematopoietic stem-cell transplants (HSCT). Goggle Caroline Wyatt, MS, Mexico for more information. Ironically, the treatment was developed in the UK with an extremely high success rate during trials. Whilst the UK struggle with their medical approvals process, Clinica Ruiz and many other countries are administering the treatment. In 2017 the UK private medical sector was given permission to offer the treatment but it is currently 3 times what is offered in Mexico. The added cost of going overseas is airfares and carers. I need a carer that knows me, because there are so many things I cannot do for myself, besides not speaking. Had the MOD paid compensation as indicated  by the tribunal judge, I would not have to beg for good will & charity. At 64 and having suffered for over 20, more so in the last 12 years, there is a light at the end on the tunnel, that could give me back my life. Please support my campaign & get me to Mexico, thereafter, allowing me some quality of life with family, grandchildren & friends, before I’m too infirmed or the light in the tunnel is an oncoming train. If there are funds leftover, I will give them all to charity. Should this venture be successful I will blog daily for one year from the time I leave home so that those that funded my treatment receive feedback and can appreciate what a difference their contributions made, respectfully yours Steve.
