Injured & stuck in aforeign country

Hey everyone, so my brother Lin was in Colombia at my family’s house. He was supposed to come back in 2 weeks but a terrible thing happened. He was riding my uncles motorcycle and a car was trying to pass a bus so the car went into the opposite lane and hit my brother. My brother didn’t have enough time to avoid it and he had a passenger with him so he tried to protect the girl he was riding with and he took the whole hit. The car ran away and came back after. He is severely injured, he needs 2 surgeries or more,he tore his ACL, he fractured his hand and fingers, his fingernails came off, and he fractured his pelvis. He currently is not able to move. He got lucky one hospital was willing to treat him because since he lives in Chicago and he does not have insurance in Colombia, they didn’t want to receive him. The motorcycle insurance only covers around $5,000 but that’s not enough for surgeries and therapy.
