In-home Treatment for Matthew

Matthew is 10 years old and has Autism. He is a fun and lovable boy but as he is getting older life is getting harder and so are the resources available to us. He has been struggling with being on medications and needs help regulating his behaviours.
The past 2 weeks Matthew has been in hospital 6 times each time being sent home with no help. When having a diagnosis of Autism it is very difficult to get help from the hospitals and other OHIP covered services.
In order to keep Matthew at our home and as a part of our family and community, we are requiring in-home treatment by Bartimaeus. This treatment will not only help Matthew, but also help our family be safe. The treatment will be approximately 60 days in length and ongoing until Matthews medications and therapies are regulated.
This has been a real struggle for both Matthew and our family. As I'm a working mother funding resources are very limited .
Asking for help has been really tough but as a parent there comes a point where you have to let your pride go and do everything you can to help your child and family.
Matthew is needing 4 to 5 hours of treatment per day. Each hour of treatment is 40 dollars. That's approximately 200 a day and 12000 dollars for 60 days.
We are looking for support from our families and friends and anyone that would like to see our amazing boy have the life he deserves in a safe environment at home.
