Indigenous trans organizer urgent dental care

Donation protected
Abundia is missing 9 teeth which is making it very difficult to chew. Fixing it will cost $17,655 but will immensely benefit her health. Let's come together and support this pillar of our community who has helped so many others!

Abundia is a Nahuatl Trans woman who has over decades been a key part of projects for indigenous rights, workers, poor, queer and trans people, animals, and the earth. After escaping violence in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, and immigrating to Europe, Canada and finally the US at the age of 23, Atlanta is where she put down roots.

She has dedicated her life to doing community work--very often without getting paid for her labor. She has always worked to address a wide range of issues including mutual aid projects, food insecurity and food sovereignty, Land back movements, and creating accessible spaces for queer and trans artists of color, in projects including Food not Bombs , Mondo Homo, SFQP , Mariposas Rebeldes , and StopCopCity to name just a few.

Now she needs a little help! Let’s give back to an Indigenous trans elder like she has given to so many, across communities , cultures, species and borders.

Raised funds will go to dental work, travel and stay in the area. Any left over will be used for her health and social justice work projects she is spearheading in the South.

Let’s  keep transferring our wealth to people--that makes us all more wealthy!
