I'm a freelance journalist. I've written 60 stories for the Guardian in the past year.

My work has also been featured in the New York Times, Vice.com, the Intercept, the Nation, the Appeal, Gizmodo, Splinter News, In These Times, HuffPost, Salon, the Hill, Paste Magazine, and several other publications.

But freelancing isn't free, and journalism costs money to do. I need your help.

Corporate concentration of media has led to mass layoffs and cuts to newsrooms in favor of punditry and often media attention to issues that don't upset billionaires and powerful corporate interests.

If you're familiar with my work, you know I've broken stories on corporate abuses at Amazon, Tesla, AT&T, Verizon, Walmart, Uber, Lyft, McDonald's, General Motors, and several others. To continue to do this work, I need grassroots support to sustain it.

Currently, I'm looking for funds to meet a whistleblower farmer in North Carolina, who described working in the contract poultry industry as modern day sharecropping, investigating the fracking industry's expansion of plastic production in Southwestern PA, and to fund a trip to Standing Rock in early November for the public hearing on the Dakota Access Pipeline's proposal to nearly double oil production of the pipeline that never should have been built in the first place. Your donation will help provide me with the resources I need to continue carrying out my investigative journalism work and be able to make ends meet while doing so.
