International Esports Bootcamp Crowdfund

HELP US TO SHOW THE WORLD Australia is a major force in online gaming.

We have just four days until we fly out to Europe before our bootcamp to prepare to represent Australia on the international stage in Stockholm, Sweden and we need your support.

Incognito are a player run PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) team who have recently qualified for the GLL Grand Slam tournament this month from July 19-21 (https://www.grandslam.gg/). This tournament sees 16 teams from NA, EU, OCE and LATAM compete over three days for $300k.

In April 2019 we qualified and were the only team to represent Australia on the world stage, in London, at the FaceIT Global Summit. The event saw 24 teams from around the world compete for $400K USD and after five days of games, we placed 10th.

As we are a player run team, we do not have the resources or financial backing of an organisation / company to cover our costs for our bootcamp before this, which is an extremely important part of our preparation for this event.

For our GLL Grand Slam bootcamp we have organised fundraising through selling merchandise which should have covered our original goal but unfortunately since then we have had some setbacks. Our esport jersey prices were quoted to us in USD, whilst we were on the understandings this price was AUD (as the website said "$ in your local currency). Yesterday, on July 4th we were advised that the bootcamp that we had organised in Sweden, had fallen through and now have needed to find alternative arrangements, with less than four days until we fly out.

Our original location to bootcamp would have been in Sweden, but due to other locations being booked out the closest venue that will have the capacity to provide us with computers that can play/run PUBG is in Poland and will be there from the 10th to the 15th of July.

Why should you support us?

Ronon, Jouxy, Insight, and Ykikamucow are some of Australia's best PUBG players. Unfortunately within the Australian esports industry there ecosystem does not allow for players within this game to be salaried, this means that the players are often playing this game at a financial loss. The only income players receive is from tournament winnings, and the amount differs from tournament to tournament. Recently we came second in the LetsPlay.Live Challenger series, the second highest tournament in the region, a tournament with the 16 best teams in the Oceanic region, which consisted of 40 games (each game is 35 minutes long) over eight weeks and the players made $1.75 per game, per player.

Many of the team have expenses that they need to cover outside of PUBG which is what their tournament winnings go on, and also lives / jobs outside of PUBG.

What are we doing with your money?

We value transparency and honesty and want to be clear / transparent about what the funds will be used for.

- The bootcamp venue is €250 per person. Which totals €1250 for the five team members. This is approximately $2000 AUD, which is $400 per person for us to attend our bootcamp from 10-15th of July.
- Flight change from Dubai -> Stockholm, to Dubai -> Warsaw and a new flight Warsaw -> Stockholm is $592 per person, totaling $2,960.00 AUD.
- Team uniform (and cost of the design) $795 (shirts, design, shipping for four team members, one analyst and one manager)
- Travel insurance - $136 per person, $680

This totals $6435.

Any additional funds raised, will go towards food, transport (bus, train, Ubers etc.) and any incidentals during the bootcamp and event.
