Dear friends,

As many of you know Mandy Ehlke, a friend to so many of us, a sister, a daughter, a wife, and a mother of 3 beautiful kids has once again learned that her Cancer has reared it’s head.  So many have reached out asking for an opportunity to show love and support as the Mandy and her Family take this difficult journey once again. We invited you to join in the opportunity to help the Ehlke family in whatever form works best for your family.  Prayers are always welcomed and encouraged. Words of encouragement and support can be left below or on "Mandy Ehlke's Updates" Facebook Page and or if you are in a position to monetarily help support, you can leave a donation here.

For those who are reading this and not as familiar with Mandy's Story below is her the journey she has already been on.

Mandy was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in February of 2013 while expecting her third child.  Motivated by love for her family, she (along with husband Mark, daughters Melita and Amalie, many family members, and many of you) fought for life through two trimesters of chemotherapy.  Thanks to countless prayers and a loving God, Matthias James Ehlke was born a healthy baby boy on July 16, 2013!  Mandy continued her fight with two rounds of radiation (one for each area affected by the cancer) and major surgery surrounded by the love of Jesus, family, and friends.  In 2014, a scan found no evidence of cancer!

Unfortunately, this was not first time cancer had touched Mandy's life.  Her mother Connie was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in 2011.  The two fought cancer together with overwhelming love for each other.  They leaned on each other for support, cried together through the pain, shared remedies for the simplest relief, and rejoiced together in each and every victory.  They encouraged each other to battle on when the fight seemed impossible.  Love for Mandy gave Connie strength, and she used that strength to fight cancer to the end.  In love, Jesus called Connie to heaven on April 5, 2016, years beyond her original prognosis.

In July, Mandy found out that cancer had returned. A scan found three spots on her liver.

Though the fight was not easy Mandy was able to win the battle in 2016 with God's strength for her body, the amazing help of the Doctor's and the love and support of all those around her continuing to remind her she's not in this alone. She was blessed with good health and sense of "normalcy" for the past until just recently.

Unfortunatley, in October another scan showed that Mandy had a new tumor on her liver, a metastasis of the cancer she had been facing the last 7 years.
Mandy then learned that the the pain she has been facing is from this tumor that is 4..9cm (almost 2 inches) which is located under her ribs and is pushing on her gallbladder.  She is currently in a standstill as Doctors determine the right plan of action to start fighting back against this cancer.  Please help  to surround her with love and make sure she's equipped for the battle ahead. Please consider how you can show your love for Mandy, whether through prayers, encouraging words, or a donation.
