In support of Willow Drover and family
Donation protected
As many of you are aware, our 3-year-old great-niece, Willow, who lives in Dieppe, NB with her mom, Megan, dad, Sheldon, and 8-year-old brother, Tatum, has a very rare chromosomal disorder called Pallister-Killian Syndrome (PKS; https://pkskids.net/whatispks.php ). With her PKS she has a very fragile immune system. She was hospitalized in Moncton on 8 Jan 2020 with RSV and influenza. She has developed pneumonia and due to respiratory failure she was airlifted to the IWK Children’s hospital in Halifax, NS on 11 Jan 2020 (on her 3rd birthday ) and will need to be in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for an undetermined period of time (at least a week but most likely longer). Her parents and brother are there with her now. Her dad is self-employed and her mom is a full-time caregiver. We are fundraising to help raise money to cover the travel costs for the family to be able to stay with Willow in Halifax, to help offset the loss of income that will be incurred over the next few weeks, and to help with unexpected costs that may arise (e.g., medications, special equipment).
It will be a long journey for them. Thanks for any assistance you can provide and for keeping Willow and her family in your thoughts xo
