In Support of Richard Pettipas Mr P

Hi, my name is Marissa Pettipas, My dad and mom are Richard and Vicki Pettipas. I am writing this note to try and help them. Dad or Mr. P as most people call him, is now starting his third year of not teaching because of his battle with Bone marrow Cancer and being on disability. This is real tough on him, cause he talks about kids, classes, and teachers all the time. I know Mom and Dad are strong and have been real positive since this all started in July 2015. So I want to thank you all for your support, prayers, thoughts and everything. My Dad has always been a man that gives by teaching, volunteering, coaching, refereeing and helping people any way he could. I know Mom and Dad won't talk about this and Dad will probably be really pissed at me when he finds out I did this, but they are struggling with expenses. Dad is still travelling to hospitals in Halifax, Charlottetown, Moncton and Summerside it seems like a lot. He is in Shoppers all the time getting drugs, even buys some at Costco when he has appointments in Moncton or Halifax, cause its cheaper. Dad is so positive when he is anywhere, and his favorite saying is: ITS ALL GOOD. Well I know it's not, and he continues to try and do stuff even when he's having constant bone and body pain, muscle cramps, headaches, a real bad memory and just being tired a lot. That's what I see and know, there is still probably more stuff that he won't tell Mom and us. That's not even dealing with the cancer and the stress it causes knowing what is to come. We've had many friends and relatives from away and former students that wished they could be here or do something to help. Well, maybe this is one way you can, and it will show your support for Dad and Mom. Josh and I are both trying to help them as much as we can. We are both really proud of what Dad has done for many students, friends and people all his life in teaching, coaching sports, volunteering, our church, being a ref and ump. He's a special guy to many people, and a great role model, not just cause he's my Dad. So, I have set up a gofund me site for them, so any donation that you can make would be a great help for them, and I know they would sure appreciate it.
