Michael Ojo - Nigeria Travel & Funeral Expenses

On Friday, August 7th, Olalekan Michael Ojo was working out in Serbia and suffered a fatal heart attack. As news of this tragedy spread around the world, it was clear to see just how much of an impact #50 made before his untimely death. Not only on the lives of his closest friends and loved ones, but on the fans and communities that embraced him throughout his 27 years on earth.

On behalf of his family, I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming show of love and support. I was Michael’s longtime girlfriend and have been working with his family in Nigeria and agent to make sure his burial arrangements are finalized. Because of the sudden nature in which Michael left us, he did not have a will. Until his estate is settled, his family will be handling all matters out of their own pockets. We are asking for and appreciate any help you may provide to offset the cost of getting their beloved son, brother, and uncle back to his home in Nigeria so that he may be laid to rest surrounded by his family.

With your donations, we will cover the costs of funeral preparations in Serbia, transport of Michael back to Lagos, then to his home town, funeralfees in Nigeria, and legal fees associated with getting him home.
