In Remembrance of Shawn & Norma Riley

On Sunday, April 25th our beloved friend Shawn Riley passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after contracting COVID-19. He leaves behind his sister, Megan and mother, Norma who is currently in hospital fighting COVID-19 as well. The Riley’s are incredibly close to me and my family. Shawn’s sister is one of my longest and best friends of 20+ years. I am completely heart broken over this news and would really like to do something to help alleviate some of the financial strain this will have on their family. So I have decided to set up this GoFundMe For anyone who is interested in helping donate any funds towards funeral costs, time off work, and other incidentals that they shouldn’t have to worry about during this time.

As we all know, this pandemic has taken it’s toll on families whether it has been financially, mentally, physically, etc. so we understand if you can’t donate. Alternatively, a quick share of this would mean the world and be greatly appreciated. My hope for this page is that the Riley family will receive enough financial help to help them get through this difficult and unpredictable time.

Update: 

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, that we just received news that Shawn and Megan’s mother has passed away in hospital after battling COVID-19.

We are absolutely devastated about this news.

Over the next coming weeks, Megan and her family will have to make difficult decisions for her Mom and brother while also trying to process this traumatic loss. Megan is also recovering from COVID-19 as well. 

What Megan and her family need right now is to be surrounded by the people who Iove them and unfortunately due to the pandemic that can’t happen in the way we all wish we could be.

The thought of Megan having to deal with the financial loss on top of this grief is heartbreaking. I want her to be able to lay her family to rest without the limitations of financial burdens as well as being able to take time off work to cope without being concerned about bills and groceries.
