In Remembrance of Richard Cho

On Sunday, June 11th, 2017, the life of our friend and beloved comrade Richard Cho was tragically taken from us while he was competing in the sport that he loved, despite the heroic efforts of his fellow competitors and EHS workers. Since then the outpouring of love and offers of assistance for Richard has been overwhelming for Richard’s wife, Reese, his dear mother and his family. Through the many thousands of phone calls, messages and posts on social media it has become clear that Richard touched the lives of hundreds of people and dozens of groups through his many enthusiastic pursuits and boundless friendship.
Although Richard’s immediate needs are being taken care of by his loving family, it has become obvious that a Celebration of Richard’s Life will be huge and will need to accommodate hundreds of people who wish to gather to praise him and honour his many accomplishments with their tributes and stories.
There have been so many generous offers of support from all the groups and communities that Richard loved to participate in. We have started up this In Remembrance of Richard Cho fund, so that all those touched in life by Richard’s cheerful presence could have a way to contribute if they wished.
