In Michael's honor

Donation protected
On February 14, 2018, Valentine's Day, our lives were shattered when our brother and son, Michael K. Osei-Mensah Jr., passed away, suddenly, at the young age of 33. Michael was everything a parent could hope for in a son; a sister could hope for in a brother; a friend could hope for in a friend. Michael was so easy to love. People naturally gravitated towards him.  Whether he knew someone for 5 years or 5 minutes, Michael had a tremendous impact on those he knew and met.

Michael was an intelligent, vibrant, charismatic young man who was full of life and adventure. He was compassionate, always smiling (His smile was infectious!), and always put others before himself without even considering his own needs. Michael could not stand to see others hurting.  For this reason, he always did his best to lend a hand, make you laugh, and give an encouraging word.  In so doing, he helped you to forget about your problems.

Michael was devoted to his work and position as a member of the Cybersecurity Team at KPMG. He was also a part of the National Association of Black Accountants. He loved basketball, specifically the Celtics, football and watching his favorite television show, Martin.

Michael had strong hopes and dreams of getting married and having children. Most recently, Michael expressed his goal to actively pursue this dream wholeheartedly, to his mother telling her "Mom, watch you'll see! You're going to have a little Mikey running around!".

Michael adored his parents. As the only son, his heart was to take care of them.  His parents and sisters were always on his mind. Michael's parents left Ghana, sacrificed everything, and worked hard all their lives to make sure he and his sisters could have a better life. Michael always made an effort to express his gratitude to them the best he could.  It was Michael's lifelong mission to do whatever he could to make sure his mom and dad would no longer have to carry any financial burden and stress. This GoFundMe page is being set up to aid in burial costs and assist Michael's surviving family members.
