In memory of Wayne Thornton

I would like to set up this go fund me in memory of Wayne Thornton.

Unfortunately on Sunday the 3rd of October Wayne Keith Thornton suddenly passed away in his sleep at the age of 54, leaving behind his girlfriend Lynn, his 3 daughters Jade, Sianne and Kayleigh-Marie and his 3 beautiful grandchildren Ella, Koby and Myah. The pure devastation has torn our hearts completely, it’s come as such a shock and his death was very unexpected!. Wayne was such a caring, happy and an all rounded good hearted man! With a pure sole of gold! known to so many as a top bloke that would do anything to help anyone. He would always have a smile on his face and so polite and welcoming. He always had time to stop for a chat or make sure everyone else was okay before himself. He’d be the first one to offer you a brew, although he’d get Lynn to make them! he had the best banter and would always make a joke of something or a funny comment to have you laughing. The biggest family man I’ve ever known!.

His grandchildren was his absolute world! He’d spend hours doing jigsaws, building car tracks or playing ball games in the garden. They are absolutely distraught, he adored all 3 of them! with them being so young they now know grandad is in the sky and to look for the biggest shining star because that will be grandad always looking down on them.

If he wasn’t at work or home he was always at the football. Huddersfield town was his passion, He was a true devoted fan, never missing a match in over 30 years! In his words ‘he’s off to church’ he loved his second home at the Huddersfield football stadium. He collected every single Huddersfield town shirt over the years! In which his family have decided to give a shirt each to all his close loved ones to honour his life when saying our final good byes! ⚽️ To create a sea of blue and white! Would be his last wishes, with nothing but a well loved atmosphere and to be proud of the man he was! And always will be

Wayne loved his drum and base tunes the best often dancing around the house doing embarrassing dad dance moves! .

The memories we shared together will be cherished forever, the hole that he has left in all our lives is massive and will never ever be filled again

What a true legend known by so many!

Wayne you are now with your beautiful mum Patricia and both your dearly missed sisters Mandy and Sharon. may you all rest together in perfect peace! ❤️
