In memory of Simon Chang for his son Benaiah

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news. Our brother in Christ, friend, fellow Virginia Tech Hokie, South Lakes Seahawk teacher and coach Simon Chang has passed away. He was involved in a motorcycle accident and was found in Fairfax on Thursday night, August 22nd.
Simon will be remembered for his spirited energy and enthusiasm. He had a gift of blessing those around him with his encouraging words and humor. His laugh was contagious and brought people together. He served God with passion and sacrifice wholeheartedly as a missionary for International House of Prayer. He had a passion to positivity influence the youth as a teacher and basketball coach for South Lakes High School. He was dearly loved by those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Simon’s brother has asked me to set up a fund to bless and support Benaiah. All proceeds will go to Samantha, Benaiah’s mother, to be used directly for the benefit of Benaiah’s healthy growth and development throughout his childhood and into adulthood.
Simon’s family is thankful for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They also ask that everyone respect their privacy during this time. If you have any questions, please direct them to me.
