Seamus was a loving, funny and energetic 16 year old whose life ended unexpectedly and much too soon on October 27th 2019.  It is with very heavy hearts that the childhood friends and teammates of Seamus Gee are raising funds to help Seamus’ family cover his funeral costs. As a grade 11 student at Langley Secondary School in the Trades program Seamus made his family proud.  Just days before his passing, Seamus celebrated his 16th birthday and passed his Learners License so he could learn to drive. His passions included photography and concerts. Seamus brought people together.  He welcomed his whole class to his house to celebrate the end of kindergarten, he brought countless friends to BC Lion’s games with his family, and he had sleep over after sleep over with his classmates in elementary school. He made sure everyone knew that they were welcome and wanted in his home.  He created a great community that will have benefits for those that were lucky enough to be part of it for years to come. Seamus loved sports both as a player and in the stands.  His fierce tackling was a huge asset in H.D. Stafford’s Fraser Valley Div 1 Rugby Championship in 2017 where he was starting prop for their undefeated 11-0 season.  Seamus also played rugby for the Langley Rugby Club and Langley Secondary School.  Seamus’ athleticism carried over to ball hockey where his goaltending helped his team make it to provincials in 2016 and to football where he played Center for HD Stafford’s playoff run, making it to the Fraser Valley semifinals. On the other side of the game Seamus earned his stripes as a ball hockey referee. As a spectator Seamus was an avid BC Lion’s fan, an aficionado of Rugby Sevens, even traveling to San Francisco to partake in the Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2018. We will miss your infectious smile and quirky laugh.  Thank you for enriching our lives.   ·       Langley Hospice (grief support) – www.langleyhospice.com –  604-530-1115  ·       START Team/Fraser Health (urgent mental health support) – 1-888-782-7811  ·       Crisis Line – https://crisiscentre.bc.ca   ·       Additional resources may be found here: https://www.sd35.bc.ca/students-parents/student-support-services/counselling-mental-health-support/
