In Memory of Sanehpal Singh Randhawa

On Sunday Dec 29th, Sanehpal tragically lost his life when he was hit by a drunk driver in Vancouver, BC. He was only 28 years old.
Sanehpal was a yellow cab taxi driver and was on his last trip of the night to New Westminster. At approximately 3am, he picked up his 2 passengers and was crossing thru the intersection of 1st and Renfrew, Vancouver. While crossing the intersection at a green light, he was struck by a drunk car2go driver who was trying to escape the police/roadblock, and ran the red light at high speed. The collision sent the yellow cab vehicle into a Royal Bank with such force that the building has been damaged. The 2 passengers sustained non life threatening injuries and were released from the hospital. Paramedics performed first aid on both Sanehpal and the other driver, but Sanehpal sadly passed away at the hospital.
Sanehpal was a loving son, brother and friend. Friends and family would describe him as kind, caring and humorous. He was a hard-working individual, always trying to make a better life for himself. Sanehpal would go above and beyond for the ones he loved, and was always willing to offer help whenever needed. He was currently working 7 days a week, as he was looking forward to moving into his first home in the beginning of the New Year. While living on his own in Canada since 2010, Sanehpal was looking forward to finally being reunited with his family in 2020. With his whole life still ahead of him, Sanehpal's life got taken away too soon.
This go fund me page was not started to collect money towards funeral services or to help the grieving family. This was a large request made by many people who were touched by Sanehpal's story and wanted to contribute in any way. The funds collected will be passed on to Sanehpal's immediate family who can then decide on how they'd like to use the funds and remember their loving son/brother.
