In Memory of Raoul Eam

Dear friends and family,

I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of my cousin, Raoul Eam (known as FuGe by his friends). He was a victim of gun violence. Raoul was 39 years old and an employee of GLSS. He was friendly towards everybody. He was someone who makes you smile and laugh - a true life of the party and a life taken away too soon.

He leaves behind his partner, Amanda Southern, and his five beautiful boys. He also leaves his mother who also lost another daughter (Raoul’s older sister) to cancer. Raoul was a great father to his 5 young sons: Ryonel, Cody, Dakari, Janobi and Asani. Ryonel, his oldest son recently graduated from Lynn Classical and his plan is either to attend Salem State University or North Shore Community College. Cody, his second oldest, will be a senior at Lynn Classical. Dakari will be entering Lynn Classical as a freshman. Janobi is 6 years old and is in the first grade. Asani is turning 2 years old.

These boys had just celebrated Father’s Day with their dad. In their card, they wrote the following:

“Happy Father’s Day to the best and coolest dad in the world. I am very grateful and proud to call you my dad. We all love you so much and what you do for the family. I love you so much, keep continuing to be the coolest Dad in the whole wide world ❤️”

These boys are so so smart and sweet but they will now have to grow up quickly without their father. When dealing with the loss of a father and a husband, the last thing these boys and Amanda want to think about is how to pay for a funeral. I am asking friends and family to please donate or share this if you cannot to help cover for funeral expenses and to help get them back on their feet. 100% of your donation will go towards the funeral and anything left will go towards Amanda to take care of the kids.
