In memory of our beloved brother, Amran Hamid ❤️

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem,

In the name of Allah, ‘The Most Beneficent’ and ‘Most Merciful’.

On Tuesday 6th September, our beloved brother Amran Hamid, passed away in his sleep, aged 44, leaving behind four young sons. Amran was a role model to many; hardworking, kind, resilient. He had spent much of his life caring for and supporting his siblings and mother, and then went on to do the same for his wife and four children.

He always faced adversity with a smile on his face and in recent years had developed a strong connection to his faith and a commitment to Allah SWT. Amran had begun tajweed lessons with the intention and aspiration of becoming a Quran Hafiz. However, due to his sudden death, he was not able to complete this intention.

As a fitting legacy and a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for him, our family would like to raise money to build a masjid and community water wells, like most, the masjid will be a sanctuary for the local community, and importantly a place in which the reading and memorisation of Quran can continue.

At present, we are in the initial stages of enquiry and are yet to set a final budget for the project. However, we will update donors as the project progresses Insha’Allah.
