In Memory of Matthew Richards

On July 16, 2020 we lost my brother Matthew J Richards. If you knew Matthew you would agree he was one of the most kindest, fun loving people one would know. Matthew loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing and he loved animals. Matthew was the type of person that would help out an animal in distress, a lost or wounded, homeless and rescues. He loved bird watching, parks, being on or near the waters and hiking in parks.
As we were setting up funeral arrangements Matthews mom said she did not want an over abundance of flowers at the funeral service. Someone suggested we set up a GoFundMe, allow people that may want to donate this way in lieu of flowers they can do so on GoFundMe and then we decide what to do in his memory with the donations. We were thinking of either maybe donating the raised money to either a little outdoor garden in memory of Matthew, a bench dedicated in a local park, and/or donate to one of our local animal rescues here on Long Island.
