In Memory of Mateo P. Montoya

Mateo, was a kind hearted soul, compassionate and very hard
working. He worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years where the last 20 of those years were at Encino Hospital Medical Center in the ER department. He was passionate of his career and represented his colleagues as the President of Encino Hospital Chapter of SEIU Local 121RN, Executive Board Member of SEIU Local 121RN, Union Steward, and Bargaining Team Member. 

Tragically Mateo was in a horrific car accident on his way to work on Friday February 12, 2021 and was killed instantly.  We are
devastated by the sudden loss of our amazing Mateo. He was a
wonderful father, son, brother, and colleague. He touched the lives of everyone around him. 

Mateos humble lifestyle, made him even more special. He
always put others before himself especially his patients during this horrid COVID-19 crisis.
