In Memory of Maria Reynolds

On April 16, 2018, I will be running in my third Boston Marathon. This year I  want to run for someone who inspires me every day. That person being my close friend's mother, Maria Reynolds.


 After a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Maria passed away in November 2017, leaving behind a legacy of passion, love and kindness. Gone but not forgotten, Maria crosses my mind often, whether it is over a funny memory or a bowl of pasta. I would like to dedicate this marathon to her in order to help raise awareness for pancreatic cancer research, as the disease is currently without optimal treatment. In addition, another one of my close friend's father continues to fight this tough cancer, day in and day out. #CharliesChampions.


 This is not a requirement in order for me to run the marathon but it is something that I hope can shed some light on how wonderful a person Maria was and how her love for life has given so much to all that she encountered.  I am hoping to raise $1,262.00 (for 26.2 miles!). EVERY dollar will be donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Maria's name.
