In Memory of Louise Whiten

On December 3rd 2020 our beautiful Louise and our beloved dog Zack were killed while on their daily walk just two blocks from our new home. We had recently moved to Oakville to begin a new chapter in our lives to be in a safe and walkable community. Louise was excited and busy making preparations for the first Christmas in our new home.

The actions of an impaired driver has forever changed the lives of Louise’s husband Ching, her teenage boys Adam and Jake and all those who loved her. Louise was the heart and soul of her family. This senseless act has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.

Louise had many passions in life but none greater than her family and her career as a speech-language pathologist. During her career, she assisted countless children and had a special interest in those with autism. 

Funds raised to honour Louise will be used for 1) the post-secondary education of her two sons and 2) the creation of a scholarship that will commemorate and continue to foster her devotion to helping children.

Since we started this campaign some have asked if they could do anything in memory of Zack Mac the family dog. Please make donations to Oakville & Milton Humane Society at  https://www.gifttool.com/donations/Donate?ID=2044&AID=2029 . OMHS were called to the scene to attend to Zack who was also killed by an impaired driver.
