In Memory of Jingdong (Danny) Li

My name is Eric Li and I am writing this on behalf of my mom Xiaodong (Fiona) Qi and my sister Jessie. My dad Jingdong (Danny) Li, sadly lost his battle to acute lymphocytic leukemia, a blood cancer, on Feb 28, 2024.

It was a long battle, beginning with his sudden diagnosis in 2014, which he beat in 2017, before it came back in 2021. In September 2023, after a few unsuccessful treatments we decided to try a stem cell transplant, which was the best and last option he had. I was a 50% match to my dad so fortunately I was able to be the donor. He was recovering well until complications started to emerge at the end of January this year. We couldn't imagine that things would get worse so fast. Unfortunately he couldn't be a part of the 60% that successfully survive a stem cell transplant.

My dad was the main supporter of the family emotionally and financially. When he was around, we had no fear knowing he was always behind us. My family is devastated now that he is gone. I'm creating this GoFundMe page for anyone who would like to help ease the financial burden on my mom and support my family. This situation has been very hard on my mom, Xiaodong (Fiona) Qi, so she asked me to deal with the fundraising. As I am not 18, the funds are going directly to her. She is the wife of Jingdong (Danny) Li.
