Jeff Alaska Best Buy Memorial Fund

On Saturday, May 27, 2017, we lost our friend and coworker, Jeffrey Alaska. Jeff lived in North Branford with his mother Belinda Murel (Alaska), father Andrew Alaska, brother Jason Alaska, 17, and sister Jennifer Alaska, 12. He was a loving, funny, and outgoing person. He graduated from North Branford High School in 2014 and was in the process of earning his degree, having attended some classes at the University of Connecticut.
Jeff always had a smile on his face and loved spending time with his brother and sister. He often bragged about their accomplishments to everyone he knew. He was very involved in both of his siblings’ lives to the point where, no matter what, he always had a picture of Jennifer in his wallet and Jason as his phone’s background. Jeff lived for his siblings’ happiness and always made sure they were having fun, because, he too, was a kid at heart.
When Jeff passed away, he was working for the North Haven Best Buy. The entire store is deeply saddened by this tragic incident. As a store, we are coming together to help the Alaska family through this rough time. It was one of Jeff's goals to help put his sister, Jennifer, through college, and we want to make sure that goal is fulfilled. After talking with the Alaska family, instead of donations for Jeff's services, we will be accepting donations to help fulfill Jeff's goal of putting his sister through college. On behalf of Best Buy North Haven, we are presenting this GoFundMe page in support of the Alaska family. All donations will be given to the Alaska family, in memory of Jeffrey Alaska, our friend and coworker.
