Our hearts are broken today. Jayvan Ivy, a KIPP alumni, passed away last night due to health complications. It seems impossible to find the words to express our grief. Our support and love are with Jayvan's family during this incredibly difficult time.
Jayvan, you will forever be remembered for your kind heart, your sweet smile, and your relentless determination. We will never forget the day you finished all of your power standards at the end of your 7th grade year at KIPP. Your whole face was smiling and you high-fived every person in sight. Jayvan was an incredible son and the very best big brother. He will be missed beyond measure.
