In Memory of Hermano Castaneda

Many of us have watched as the dear Castañeda family has bent over backwards to help family, friends, missionaries, neighbors, and even complete strangers. Their home has always been one of love, nourishment, and solace for all who have ever entered. Unfortunately, our dear Hermano Castañeda became especially ill over the past week and passed away on Tuesday night after years of a valiant battle with renal disease.
The family used a lot of resources to sustain Hermano Castañeda’s life and now the financial burden of the funeral is too much for the family to bear. We have been recipients of the unfailing service, unconditional love, and deep goodness this incredibly gracious wife and mother has rendered, and in such a real way she has been a mother to so many of us in times while our own mothers were away. During these moments of indescribable sorrow, we request your help to raise funds to let his dear wife and family mourn the loss of her sweet companion, their father and grandfather without carrying the weight of such a heavy financial burden.
We, as those eternally indebted to this beautiful and giving family, are pledging for your help. Whatever you can give to ease the financial burden would be miraculous aid in this time of deep sorrow and struggle.

Muchos de nosotros hemos visto como la Familia Castañeda ha hecho todo lo posible por ayudar a su familia, a sus amigos, a los misioneros, a sus vecinos, y aun a extraños. Su hogar siempre ha sido uno de amor, alimento y solaz para cada persona que entre. Desafortunadamente, nuestro querido Hermano Castañeda falleció el Martes por la noche.
Hermano Castañeda había estado enfermo por muchos años y batalló diario por poder vivir y trabajar. En los esfuerzos de mantenerlo saludable en sus últimos años de vida se usaron muchos recursos, que han afectado mucho la situación financiera de la familia. La carga financiera que de los gastos funerarios pondrán una carga demasiada pesada sobre esta familia.
Hemos sido recipientes del servicio inagotable, amor incondicional, y profunda bondad que esta esposa y madre tan amable y gentil ha prestado. La Hermana Castañeda ha sido una madre para muchos de nosotros mientras nuestras madres estaban lejos. Durante estos momentos de aflicción indescriptible, pedimos su ayuda para poder recaudar fondos para darle la libertad a nuestra querida Hermana Castañeda y a su hermosa familia de llorar la muerte de su querido esposo, papa y abuelo sin tener que llevar la pesada carga financiera por los gastos funerarios.
