In Memory of George Proctor
Donation protected
George was a giving, caring and loving man who strongly believed in helping others. His passing has left a huge void in my life and in those who loved him as both family and friend.
As most of you know, George and I shared a passion for travel and that love took us to Kenya several times. We developed a strong bond with a Maasai village in Amboseli which we still maintain. As one of our first projects we dug a well for the village which provides water for 5 other villages. Over the years we have provided school supplies to the village school, purchased a bull and several calves, provided room and board at a private school for a special little girl and helped the village during famines brought on by drought.
Because of George's commitment to this village, I told him that as a memorial I was going to build a classroom for the youngest children in the village who currently are schooled while sitting under the tree in the center of the village. George was thrilled and I am now in the process of making arrangements to begin construction.
Several people have asked where they could make a donation in his memory. I can think of nothing more appropriate than to make a donation towards the building of the school which will cost close to $9000 to complete. If you would like to make a donation to this project I know George would be honored.
