In Memory of Fuguo Jiang

There are not words adequate enough to describe the grief and sadness felt by the loss of Fuguo Jiang. He was a mentor to many and a loving son, husband, father, and friend.
Fuguo and his wife, Meng, share two sons, ages 4 years and 6 weeks. They had recently moved to Houston, TX and were just getting settled into their careers and new home.
Fuguo's life passion was science. He was a brilliant scientist in the prime of his career, studying genome editing using CRISPR Cas9. He established his first lab as a Principal Investigator only 11 months ago in January 2019.
On Monday, November 11, Fuguo unexpectedly passed away at just 39 years of age. Because of this unforeseen event, Fuguo's wife and family are left to make difficult arrangements and bear the expenses associated.
