In Memory of Eric Starr

As you are all aware, Eric died tragically and suddenly on 13th September 2019, six months before his wedding to Laura. This has not only left Laura and Ruan alone and without their partner and father, but has also left them both in a very difficult financial position. Due to an unfortunate combination of circumstances, including some prior health problems, Eric was waiting to retake the medical exam which would have given his loved ones the life insurance and income protection cover he wanted for them.   Nobody could have foreseen the catastrophe that has overtaken this family, which has left Laura with their child to raise and as the sole custodian of the mortgage on their family home in Falmouth, as well as all of the other numerous expenses of raising a child and building a future for herself and Ruan. Therefore, as friends of Eric, we are asking you for help at this difficult time, to remove some of the financial burden, and to allow Laura and Ruan a modicum of financial security to begin coming to terms with their terrible loss.  We request that in place of the flowers that may ordinarily be sent on the occasion of a funeral, that you make whatever donation you can afford, to our fund for Laura and Ruan. We know that it was Eric’s top priority for his family to be secure in their future, and it would be his dearest wish that they have the best life possible in their family home, where they had been so happy together, for such an unbearably short time.
