In Memory of Emilia Arreola

With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say my beautiful grandma, Emilia Arreola, has passed away from a long battle with cancer.  In 2014 she was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma in her chest, cancer of the cartilage.  Despite her diagnosis she was determined to overcome.  My grandma had the will to live and continue to #liveherbestlife.  Three surgeries, a full round of radiation and on and off hospice care she lived well beyond any doctor's expectation.

My grandma was always ready for a good joke and had the wit to hit you right back!  She had the best sense of humor and never held back.  To be part of this family, you better have tough skin because she never discriminated.  My grandma was loving, caring and even though she didn't have much money, she always spared the little she had to those she loved and cared about. 

I miss her so much and there hasn't been a day she hasn't been in my thoughts.  Moments of sadness hit me so hard, I break down and cry but the love and special bond her and I shared remind me that time will heal my broken heart. 

I'm not one to be so open about my personal life but this hardship has been difficult for our family both emotionally and financially.  Any amount will be helpful and extremely appreciated.  Thank you<3
