Dear friends and extended family,

Regretfully in the age of social media, people take the liberty of posting about someone's death before the family has had a chance to finalize arrangements. For those of you that found out about my mother's passing through a social media posting before we were able to publish the formal announcement, we are sincerely sorry.

Deborah ("Debbie") Ann Ailes Allison, 67, of Sulphur Springs, TX, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on February 18, 2022, at Sulphur Springs Memorial Hospital. She was admitted a few weeks ago due to other factors and developed pneumonia, she was put on the maximum amount of oxygen but still had low levels.. On February 15, we were with her as they put her on the ventilator due to shortness of breath. As a few days passed and her organs began to fail, she passed away peacefully.

Debbie was born on February 15, 1955, to Billy Joe and Alma Madine Ailes of Sulphur Springs. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and later from East Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She married Donald "David" Allison her love on January 4, 1975. She spent her career as a teacher with SSISD at James Bowie Elementary and retired. She greatly impacted the lives of those who knew her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her late husband, David, and her parents. She is survived by her two daughters, Amye and Jill, grandchildren and brother.

Per Debbie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private memorial service will be arranged for immediate family in the future. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Debbie's honor to her memorial fund. Many of you have asked to mail a check instead so please message me if you need my address.
Many of you that knew Debbie....she LOVED her Family, students and coworkers, she was adamant about education and tried to instill how important it was to have that foundation in life.
Per Debbie’s wishes any proceeds donated will be distributed towards an educational scholarship or charity.

Sincerely,
Debbie’s Family
