Dear friends of the Register Family,
This past Sunday, we lost a member of our family far too soon. David Register suffered a fatal heart attack in his sleep, early in the morning on Father's Day - leaving behind his wife, Pam, son DJ and daughter Shawna, and a long list of friends.
David leaves a legacy of humility, pride, and devotion to his family and his job.' Deputy Dave' or 'Big D', worked hard, never said 'no', and was the rare combination of strength, pride, gratitude and humility. He was a diehard Redskins fan, his favorite saying was 'it is what it is', and his favorite song was 'Simple Man' - which couldn't have fit him more perfectly. This picture was from a surprise Birthday Party -- his first ever birthday party -- and he met it with tears of joy.
He was a rock for so many of us, but most especially to his wife, Pam, and their kids, DJ and Shawna. We need to be the rock for them in this difficult time, and your support will help ensure the future months aren't harder than they have to be for Pam and their family.
If you're in a position to give, please do, and know that your love and support could not be more appreciated - anyone who knew David knows he'd want his family taken care of, and we hope to rally for them the way he would have for any of us.
Thank you for your support, and your thoughts and prayers for David and his family - let's make David proud.
