In memory of Brad Scott

Donation protected
This fund has been created in loving memory of Brad Scott, husband, father, and friend. Donations will support Brad's wife, Charlene, and three daughters, Alyssa (19), Brennah (17), and Laini (14).

Brad passed away peacefully after incredibly hard-fought battle with cancer on May 31, 2020 at the age of 43, surrounded by his loving family at their home. He was born in Upland, PA to Albert W. "Jack” and Laura Lilley Scott, and raised in Linwood, PA. Brad has resided in Claymont, DE for the past 21-years. Brad was a 28-year member of the Lower Chichester Fire Company, where he began his fire career at the age of 14. He was also a volunteer Firefighter at Claymont Fire Company, where he served as the company's Treasurer. Brad was a Firefighter and later a promoted Heavy Vehicle Operator (HVO) for the past 13-years with Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. He spent a majority of his career assigned to Columbia, MD's Fire Station 7 (Banneker). Brad enjoyed traveling and vacations with his family. He also enjoyed helping to coach softball for his daughter's teams and was a proud fan at all activities they participated in. Brad's dedication to his family was unparalleled and his commitment was unwavering. His passion is the inspiration for this fund, created to continue to support educational expenses incurred by the Scott family. In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his loving wife of 19-years, Charlene Samsel Scott, three daughters; Alyssa, Brennah and Laini Scott, a brother, Glenn (Becky) Scott, two nephews, Zak and Joshua, his father and mother in law, Charles and Cecelia Samsel, two brothers in law, Chuck and Chad Samsel, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
