In memory of Bogna Jabłońska-Kwast

Between the 6th-7th of September 2022, our European swing dance community lost a valuable member when Bogna Jabłońska-Kwast passed away from leukemia. Bogna was a great Balboa and Lindy hopper, a teacher of these dancers, but she was also the person behind Hepcats shoes. Bogna was an essential person in the dance community in Warsaw, Poland, where she lived with her husband, Piotr Kwast.

I will remember Bogna as a warm, generous and emphatic person. On the dance floor, she was radiant and had great energy. I always really enjoyed dancing with her.

Some of us in the international dance community wanted to get together to buy flowers for Bogna´s memorial on the 23rd of September. I am putting this fundraiser together because there might be others that would like to join. The money raised will be distributed to a friend of Bogna who will buy flowers on our behalf and bring them to the memorial. If we gather more than needed, money will also go to Bogna´s medical fund.
