In Memory of Bob McCaffrey

Donation protected
Bob McCaffrey was a valuable member of the South Carolina Stingrays organization, joining the team in 2012. He was one of the hardest and most passionate workers and really loved the Rays. Bob was determined to beat cancer, fighting courageously and meeting his chemotherapy and radiation treatments head on.

Bob loved golf and all of New England’s sports teams. He participated in the Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope, the Cooper River Bridge Run and assisted with the annual Deputy Joe Matuskovic Memorial Hockey Game. Bob had a contagious personality and many Rays fans gravitated to him. On most game nights Bob could be found in the box office assisting with will call.

Before joining the Stingrays, Bob served in the United States Air Force for seven years as a Security Specialist, ending his military career in New Hampshire at Pease Air Force Base.

He loved the hockey community, also having worked for the Manchester Monarchs, Connecticut Whale, Gwinnett Gladiators and Atlanta Knights.

The Stingrays front office and North Charleston Coliseum will not be the same without Bob, he will be greatly missed.

Funds raised in his memory will go towards necessary expenses for funeral costs and transportation.
