In Memory of Arturo Macoy Blanco

Arturo "Art" Macoy Blanco was a kind-hearted, generous, loving man. He is survived by his wife Corazon Blanco and their two children Christine and Adrian.
In January 2015 he was diagnosed with a devastating rare form of lung disease (interstitial lung disease) where there is progressive scarring of the lung tissue. This led to other complications such as congestive heart failure and kidney problems, and also resulted in him having to use an oxygen machine 24 hours a day. He was in and out of the hospital a few times for different complications but always fought and bounced back. Unfortunately during his final hospitalization, his heart could not handle all the stress. Most of his immediate family was able to see him before he passed, and his wife and children were by his side when he took his last breaths.
He will always be remembered as giving, strong-willed, and determined to make sure his family always had the best. He loved fishing, watching tv and lately, playing bingo with his wife and daughter, where he was extremely lucky.
The family has decided to bury him in Southern California within the next couple of weeks. The funds would be used for his transport and for any mortuary fees which has been estimated at approximately $7500. Anything extra would be used to help the family with additional expenses.
