Born September 15, 1999 in the midst of Hurricane Floyd, Alexis Marianni Olszewski was a fighter from the beginning. At just 12 days old she underwent her first open heart surgery for a congenital heart defect. She would undergo many more surgeries during her lifetime, always defying the odds. On June 29, 2022, just 2 and a half months before her 23rd birthday, Alexis peacefully passed away during the intermission of her final surgery.
Alexis leaves behind her husband, mother and father, her four brothers, two grandmothers, two grandfathers, aunts and uncle, and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.
