Dennis and Regina Joya are wonderful parents and extremely strong in their faith. They worked opposite shifts so that both children, son Kyle, 9, and daughter Alexandra, 3, are cared for by their parents. The four of them had nothing but a happy life to look forward to.
Never in Dennis and Regina's wildest dreams, or nightmares, would they believe that they would lose their sweet 3 year old Alexandra Denine the same day of a joint poolside birthday celebration with brother Kyle.
Saturday, August 19, 2017, Alex was found in the apartment pool. CPR was given and she was taken to Texas Children's Hospital where she was on life support. On August 22, all tests showed negative brain activity and left Regina and Dennis with a decision no parent should ever have to make...withdraw life support and donate Alex's organs.
Alex's organs live on in others, but her spirit will never be forgotten. Her parents are left with a loss that can never be replaced. Please keep them in your prayers and lift them up to our Heavenly Father. Only He knows why He needed Alex so soon. Along with your prayers, if you find it in your heart to donate, even a little, , to help towards unexpected medical bills and funeral costs, please do so.
