In Memoriam: Ze Zhang

All the funds have been received by Ze's parent in China by the joint efforts from the fundraiser, friends and the beneficiary.

You may already be aware that our beloved friend, Ze Zhang, passed away unexpectedly on Oct 15, 2021.

 

Ze was born and raised in the northeastern corner of China. The people living on this snow-covered land is well known to be conscientious, diligent, caring and so did Ze. She was very accomplished academically and only several months before obtaining her PhD degree. During her five years in Dallas, she was the person that everyone would turn to for help at the very first thought. She taught many new students how to drive, helped on the commutes, hosted friends for movies with the delicious dishes made by her. She has been a precious and important piece of life to many of her friends. She donated for the natural crisis that happened in home country and abroad. She consistently called out for gender discrimination and inequality.

 

In case you want to help her funeral service and her family, you can donate via this platform and leave your condolent message. All the donations will go to her chase checking account, which will be closed later by the legal delegate and subsequently inherited by Ze's parent.
