In loving memory of Vaikalafi “Vai” Lutui

Our humble & devoted husband, father, son, & brother, Vaikalafi Lutui Jr. lost his hard fought battle to Covid-19 on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Vai was born on March 7, 1987 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Whitikei Brown & Siutiti Lutui.




Vai was a committed brother & was the oldest of 4; Mele Kafo’atu, Fusi Filimoe’unga, & Whitikei Brown II whom he served & loved with all of his heart!




Vai was a character. He always had a joke ready to lighten any mood & a smile on his face. Vai always seemed to make everyone feel loved & welcomed. His easy going & relaxed nature made him a delight to be around. He had no friends because friends always became family. He was the true epitome of loyalty, compassion & love!




On June 3, 2011 Vai married his queen of hearts, Lota Sisilia Lutui & they had 4 beautiful children Whitikei Brown III, 9, Alani Warren, 5, Maliyah Lealofi, 2, & Samisoni Lutui, 10 months. On January 18, 2018, Vai took his family to the altars of the Salt Lake Temple to be sealed for time & all eternity!  Vai was a faithful & devoted husband & father. The sweetest parts of his existence were spent providing, protecting, & serving his wife & kids! He will be dolefully missed by all those who knew & loved him but especially by his wife & young children.


The family asks that instead of cards and flowers, that donations be made through Venmo @Lota-Lutui or Gofundme, to assist with Medical bills and the support of his beloved wife and young children. Vai was their protector and supporter, all funds will be given to his young family.
