In loving Memory of Shane Hughes

Update: Shane’s service will be held July 1st at 11am at Community Bible Church of Waterford, CA - service will follow potluck so family is asking if you can bring a dish to the service. The address of the church is 14143 Yosemite Boulevard, Waterford, CA 95386. Let’s gather together and celebrate the good times we all had with Shane.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shane Hughes.

He was a loving father to six, grandpa to one, awesome coach, talented musician, loved to work out, jiu jitsu/martial arts and served countless hour’s volunteering at church. Shane also was a veteran -serving in the U.S. Navy for 8 years. He was on the USS Reeves in Hawaii and in San Diego he was on the USS Coronado. Later he was in Concord at the Concord Naval weapons Station.

Shane has coached football in the area for the past 20+ years at both the youth and high school levels. He joined the Hughson High School football staff in 2022 as a Defensive Backs Coach. Shane brought many areas of expertise to help lead the Hughson Huskies to State Championships this past year.

He had talent in the area of computers and technology and worked several jobs doing what he loved. Shane was a very loving person and loved people, he loved the Lord very much as well.

Raising money for Shane’s memorial service as well as money for his kids, who are still young.

Please keep the family and close friends in your prayers as we all process this sudden passing. Shane- you will be tremendously missed by so many!
