IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR AMA, MARINA.

Dear Family and Friends,
Our beloved mother Marina passed away early morning on Saturday May 11, 2024.

As most of you who remember her, shared a memory with her, or experienced who she was as a person; this is who she was. She was the most sweetest, loving, caring and bravest person we have ever known. She always put everyone before her and always made sure everyone was taken care of. She was the pillar of our whole family the one who brought us together, the one who never had anything bad to say and always guiding everyone in the right direction. She did anything and everything for her loved ones, the one who would make anything possible. She was the most strongest, restless, and resilient person ever.

Unfortunately on Friday 10/20/2023 She suffered a Stroke which led to a devastating Brain Stem Hemorrhage due to this, it caused her physical and mental damage leaving her on tracheaostomy, ventilator and feeding tube dependant, she was left severly disabled. Not knowing what was next, but understanding all the risks and complications due to this brain injury we as a family decided to move foward with giving her a chance to recover. After a month of stay at the hospital and doctors working with her to stabalize her, she was transferred to a sub acute facility on Monday 11/14/2023. After another month stay at the facility she was transferred to the emergency room for a cloudy lung, after a week stay here she was transferred to a different long term care hospital where she was weaned off the ventilator completely and was able breathe on her own on since 1/12/2024. For us this was a big step in the right direction. She then started speech and physical therapy, although she was not verbal we learned she was able to read and answer yes or no questions with a nod. Physically she started to move certain body parts on command. The greatest joy was that she recognized her family. This gave her more strength to stay with us. After months of rehab she was set to come home bed ridden on 5/10/2024. Unfortunately due to all the risks and complications of the brain injury she was not discharged that day. On Saturday May 11 2024 around 3am she went into cardiac arrest while asleep. With a heavy heart god decided to put her at peace.

In these unprecedented and heart breaking moments, we are asking for everyone's support, to help our family lay our beloved mother to rest.

Our family has decided it is best to bury our mom here in Costa Mesa. As of now we do not have further information on when, but we will keep everyone updated on a date and time once it is available to us.

We deeply appreciate your endless love and support that our family has recieved in these difficult times. All your prayers have been heard and felt by our mother and our family. Thank you for being with us throughout these most life challenging times. To say we are grateful, is an understatement. As well, thank you for the continued love and support. Please keep our family in your prayers.
