In loving memory of Michael Funk

As you all know, our community suffered an insurmountable loss this weekend. They say the stars that burn twice as bright, burn for half as long. And Mike was certainly an example of that. He may have only been with us for 27 years, but in that time, he lived a fuller life than most people ever will.

If you knew Mike, you knew what it meant to feel love. Few people we come across in life radiate such an intense positive energy that you just want to be in their presence whenever you can. And that is why Mike ALWAYS had an audience.

At this time, we are asking for donations to help the family pay for a funeral that no one was expecting to prepare for. Mike was such a loving and giving individual to so many, so let’s pay it forward now and come through for his family in their time of need. The entire community feels the weight of this loss. And we all feel like we wish there was something we could do. But there is. Let’s help the family give him the send off he deserves. Mike gave so much to many and never asked for anything in return.  Please consider helping his family in this time of need.  Any amount would be gladly welcomed and if you cannot donate, kindly share.

In the spirit of Mike, any excess donations will be passed on to the other family dealing with a tragic loss of their own.
